Industry 4.0: INEGI and INESC TEC renew training program to train companies
05 April 2023The fourth edition of the Advanced Program in Industry 4.0 is back on May 3rd, with a commitment to continue empowering companies in the national industrial fabric in response to the digital transformation challenges imposed by the ongoing fourth industrial revolution.
As Centers for Technology and Innovation (CTI), INEGI and INESC TEC aim to share their experience and knowledge with companies, addressing the various dimensions and issues associated with the current digital transformation, emerging technologies, methodologies and tools, as well as the impact these approaches could have on their business.
The program, which takes place at the facilities of INEGI and INESC TEC in Porto, is intended for managers and upper-middle executives of industrial and technological companies in the areas of operations, production, logistics, engineering, technology, and innovation; as well as for managers, engineers, entrepreneurs, and consultants who aspire to lead the implementation of industry 4.0.
Américo Azevedo, coordinator of INESC TEC's TEC4Industry, states that "INESC TEC and INEGI are coordinating efforts again to offer a unique learning experience for access to emerging technologies in the context of industry 4.0, perceiving impacts and determining maturities and roadmaps."
"The increasing need for knowledge in technological areas and the excellent feedback from participants in previous editions - who emphasize the program's transversality, well-structured and balanced content, knowledgeable and experienced faculty, technical visits, and experience sharing - is a great incentive to carry out this program," says Ana Maria Sousa, responsible for the Advanced Training area of INEGI.
With a duration of 68 hours and a team of more than 20 specialists, the program will cover nine modules focused on topics identified as fundamental to the development of a strategic vision, support for decision-making, and implementation.
The characteristics, applications, and challenges of technologies that are at the core of the fourth industrial revolution will also be explored, as well as visits and workshops in companies identified as good examples, which ensure alignment with the interests and challenges of the participant group.
