19 October 2020

INEGI has seen approved the six applications in which it participated in the scope of the last call for Mobilizing Projects, promoted by the National Innovation Agency (ANI). In total, they represent an investment of about 3 million euros, co-financed by COMPETE 2020, Portugal 2020 and European Regional Development Fund programs, which reinforce INEGI's innovation and technology transfer activity with companies in the Aeronautics, Automotive, Space, Railroad, Health and Production Technologies sectors.

Organized by the respective clusters or by the main national associations in the different sectors, these are strategic projects, aim to develop and demonstrate technological solutions that respond to the priorities and main trends of each sector.

According to the National Innovation Agency (ANI), "these are strategic R&D projects that aim to create new products, processes or services with a high technological and innovation content, that contribute to their value chain and are configured as dynamic drivers of scientific and technological capacities and competences, inducing significant impacts at the multisectoral level, namely allowing the endogenization and exploitation of the developed technologies”.

"This result allows INEGI to continue the development of strategic technologies in a collaborative model, to answer the challenges that companies face in a time of rapid transformation caused by digitization and sustainable mobility", says José Sampaio, responsible for the Innovation area and Technology Transfer from INEGI.

INEGI will contribute with its skills and experience in the areas of new materials, new structural solutions, advanced manufacturing processes and biomechanics.
