19 April 2022
In 2022, INEGI surpassed the barrier of one hundred associates, currently having 101 associates, including private companies, academia, business and professional associations, and public entities. Most of the Associative Fund is in the private domain.

For Alcibíades Paulo Guedes, chairman of the Board of Directors of INEGI, "the affiliation of new members represents a reinforcement of the representation of all relevant stakeholders for the exercise of our mission, and is a sign of confidence that proves our capital of experience".

Smartenergy and CJR Renewables, both operating in the field of renewable energies, are the most recent members.

The Institute has as founding associates the University of Porto, the Association of Former Students of the Department of Mechanical Engineering (ADEMec), the Portuguese Association of Industrial Management and Engineering (APGEI) and the Association of Metallurgical, Metalworking and Related Industries of Portugal (AIMMAP).
